Our passion is fantastic pub food and drinks. We take pride in locally sourcing the finest ingredients to use in our dishes.

We change our menu on a regular basis to keep it seasonal ensuring we are using ingredients when they are at their best.

We make everything onsite except our bread and ice cream. We locally source our ice cream from Needwoods and our bread from Buckley bakehouse.

Community Owned

What is community owned?

This means that the Shrewsbury Arms is not owned by a brewery or a group or even a single person. It is owned by hundreds of people who just want it to remain at the heart of the community for years to come. The pub is here to stay and open to everyone.

Our Story

After successfully transforming the Red Lion at Newborough from a run down old Marstons pub to a thriving free house we wanted our next challenge.

A team consisting of Head chef Adam Bonner, General managers Emma Smith, Kay Hughes, and Tracy Punchard jumped at the chance to run this stunning pub, the rest is history.

The Plan

We aim to bring you the best locally sourced, freshly cooked food alongside carefully selected drinks in a warm and welcoming environment. We aim to work alongside the community in order to ensure the pub remains accessible to all and stays at the heart of the community.
